We are hosting a DIY workshop at the fascinating and historic Funkinstitut in Brandenburg (1h drive from Berlin). It will be the highest located makerspace in Brandenburg for two days – with a perfekt view (yes, it will be in the tower!).

The Workshop takes place on September 9 – 10 and is a small DIY holiday where you bring your own Beatmaker’s sketchbook classic home.

Price will be 875€ per person (including all material to build your own device) and the workshop is limited to 5 people. Language will be German.
Accommodation is not included in the price. Two nights (Friday-Sunday) can be booked via sucofunk and need to be payed at the location. Price for two nights will be 100€ for a single room (three beds per room – if you bring your friends or family, the price will stay the same).

Day 1 (Saturday):

  • You will learn some basics about electronics and how beatmaker’s sketchbook works.
  • Then you will solder one with assistance and help in a friendly environment.
  • While you solder, Marc, the maker of Beatmaker’s sketchbook, will tell you a lot about maker skills and techniques in general.

Evening Day 1:

  • BBQ and drinks

Day 2 (Sunday):

  • You will build the wooden enclosure and bring your sketchbook to life.
  • Building beats with the new devices

The official workshop language is German. If you do not speak German, do not hesitate to write an E-Mail, there might be a second workshop in English as well (Date tbd).

It is possible to arrive at the location on Friday and enjoy another day in this wonderful area with a lot of lakes to take a swim.

Update: Der Workshop findet leider nicht statt!

Wir veranstalten einen DIY workshop an einer sehr interessanten location, dem Funkinstitut in Brandenburg (ca. 1 Stunde mit dem Auto von Berlin – auch per ÖPNV zu erreichen). Für zwei Tage werden wir den höchst gelegenen Makerspace Brandenburgs errichten, im dem jeder Teilnehmer sein eigenes Beatmaker’s sketchbook bauen kann und dies selbstverständliche auch mit nach Hause nehmen darf.

Der Preis für den Workshop liegt bei 875€ und enthält alle Materialien, die zum Bau benötigt werden. Die Personenanzahl ist auf fünf limitiert und der Workshop wird auf Deutsch gehalten.

Die Unterkunft kann direkt über sucofunk reserviert werden. Der Preis für zwei Nächte (Anreise am Freitag, Abreise am Sonntag) beträgt 100€ und wird direkt vor Ort entrichtet. Jedes der fünf Gästezimmer hat drei Betten. Wer Familie oder Freunde mitbringen möchte, kann dies gerne tun.

Tag 1 (Samstag):

  • Es wird ein paar Grundlagen der Elektronik geben und erklärt, wie das Beatmaker’s sketchbook funktioniert.
  • Dann lötet jeder Teilnehmer sein eigenes Beatmaker’s sketchbook zusammen. Man muss kein Löt-Profi sein, um das zu schaffen!
  • Parallel erzählt Marc noch über weitere DIY Themen, wie 3D Druck, CNC Fräsen, etc..

Abend Tag 1:

  • Grillen und Getränke

Tag 2 (Sonntag):

  • Jeder Teilnehmer baut ein Holzgehäuse mit Plexiglas Blende, um der am vortag gelöteten Elektronik ein Zuhause zu geben.
  • Musik mit den neuen Geräten machen

Die Anreise zur Location ist bereits freitags möglich. Dadurch kann man das Wochenende zu einem kleinen Maker Urlaub werden lassen. Es gibt schöne Seen in der Nähe und das Wetter spielt hoffentlich auch mit.
